MODERN FAMILY LAW HELP4U GROUP
Terms and Conditions of Service
Effective Date: 13th December 2023

1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the provision of services by Modern Family Law Help4u Group ("We", "Us", "Our") to the client ("You", "Client"). By engaging with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. SCOPE OF SERVICES
Services may include, but are not limited to:

Legal document drafting (statements, bundles, applications)

Court coaching and procedural guidance

Strategic planning and evidence analysis

In-court or remote McKenzie Friend support

CAFCASS preparation and safeguarding interview coaching

Emotional and psychological coaching relevant to family proceedings

3. FEES AND PAYMENT TERMS
Standard Hourly Rate: £50 per hour

Urgent or Prioritised Work: £110 per hour (e.g., where you request tight deadlines before hearings and we pause other client work to prioritise you)

Deposit/Prepayment: May be required in advance before work begins

Payments: Must be made via approved methods and in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing

4. CANCELLATION & TERMINATION POLICY
4.1 Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period):
You may cancel your agreement within 7 calendar days from the date of agreement or payment (whichever is later), provided no work has commenced.

4.2 Work Commenced Within Cooling-Off Period:
If you request that we begin work during the 7-day period:

You forfeit the right to a full refund

You will be charged at £50/hour (standard) or £110/hour (priority/urgent)

This charge is deducted from any payment made to date

4.3 Termination After Work Commences:
If you cancel after work begins, a Termination Fee of £497 will be charged

This is in addition to all time already worked (at applicable rates)

4.4 Priority Work Cancelled:
If your matter was treated as urgent and prioritised over other clients (e.g., last-minute hearing prep), and you then cancel:

You will be charged at £110/hour for all time spent, plus the £497 Termination Fee

This reflects the cost of disruption and financial loss due to reallocation of client time

4.5 No Refunds on Delivered Work:
No refunds will be given once documents (statements, bundles, strategies) have been created and delivered, whether or not you use them.

5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
You must provide full, accurate, and honest information relevant to your matter

You must respond in a timely manner to information or document requests

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if critical delays or non-cooperation occur

6. LIMITATION OF SERVICE
We are not a law firm and do not provide legal representation

We act as McKenzie Friends, coaches, or consultants – our services support you, but are not a substitute for solicitors or barristers

7. CONFIDENTIALITY
All information shared will be treated as confidential unless disclosure is required by law or court order.

8. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
We are not liable for case outcomes. Our service is delivered with skill and care, but we are not responsible for court decisions or procedural errors caused by omissions in client-provided information.

9. DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS
You agree not to initiate chargebacks without first contacting us in writing

Chargebacks may result in the suspension of all services and legal recovery of owed fees

Any abusive or fraudulent chargebacks will be pursued through civil recovery routes

10. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction of the English family court system.

By instructing Modern Family Law Help4u Group, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
